A few aircraft pictures
taken from home (or coming home!) over the last week or so.

On Saturday afternoon
we had a trip up to Ballaglass Glen, hoping to find the bluebells in flower
there. It's a magical place at any time of the year, although spring
is one of the highlights, with the new green leaves sprouting on the broad
leafed trees in the glen. A lot of these photographs were taken with
the 360 degree camera and the pictures shown here are just 'slices' from
the full panorama. If the picture has a green border you can click
on it to see the full panorama. Some scroll automatically, others don't.

Whilst I was shooting
the aerial shot of the tall ship in Douglas Harbour, I took the opportunity
to take some of the Tower of Refuge.

A third and final location
for photography on Thursday afternoon was further down Sulby Glen from
Tholt-y-Will, at a favourite location for me where you can park close to
the river. Aerial photography again, with an initial climb following
the steep slopes of Slieau Managh up to the tholtan of Ballamish, nearly
600 ft above the valley floor.

The island is currently
being visited by the tall ship 'Dar Mlodziezy', berthed in Douglas
Harbour. She is 95 metres long, flagged in Poland and is a modern
sail training ship, one of a class of six constructed at the Gdansk Shipyard
in Poland. She was completed in 1982. We had to visit some
shops in town on Friday afternoon and I took the opportunity to photograph
her with the mini drone.

I was wanting to do
some tests with the 360 degree camera, so after the aerial shots I drove
down into the glen and had a wander alongside the Sulby River. The
first five shots are all 'slices' from full 360 originals. The sixth
one was with the conventional TZ95 camera, of the two lambs that had passed
earlier with their mother. She had 'parked' them under the picnic
bench and wandered off to feed on her own. She wasn't far away and
would return for them later.

I'm back on the
island after a five week trip away to Lanzarote in the Canary Islands.
The weather here is lovely at the moment, lots of sunshine and blue skies
and yesterday afternoon I managed a photographic trip out to Sulby Glen,
my first location was for some aerial photography around the Tholty-Will
area.
