We've been off island
for the last week, only arriving back on Friday afternoon, hence no pictures
for March so far. Yesterday the weather was good though with sunshine
and light winds in the afternoon, so I headed across to the west of the
island with on of the drones, for some aerial pictures of Peel Castle.

After completing the
flight at Peel Castle, I continued north along the coast road with a couple
of locations in mind for further flights, in the end settling for the 'Devil's
Elbow' where the road crosses the Glion Cam stream via a tight bend.
When the Manx Northern Railway was constructed and they had to cross the
same valley, they did it by way of a huge embankment, with the stream going
through it via a tunnel. The bend has a bit of a reputation as an
'accident black spot', although it's not inherently dangerous, just that
some drivers try to negotiate it at inappropriate speeds!
