Directed by Kirk Jones and starring David Kelly and Ian Bannan it deals with the effects on a small Irish village when it becomes known that one of the villagers has won the lottery, and the race is then on to find out who is the lucky person.
Locations
Niarbyl,
which is on the west coast was the scene of Ned Devine's cottage and the
beach used in the film.
Cregneash,
in
the south of the island is the location of 'Tullymore' village.
The
shots of the rugged coastline were mainly on the west coast of the island,
between Fleshwick Bay and Niarbyl.
This is just one of several films
made each year in the Isle of Man, as the government has a policy of encouraging
film production here and there are an abundance of varied locations to
be had, both rural and urban.
