Four
RAF Tucano trainers were based at Ronaldsway for a short while due to poor
weather in the Vale of York. From an ATC point of view they were a bit
of a nightmare as they expected RAF ATC proceedures. By the time they departed
we had come to an agreement as to what was acceptable at a civil airport
and what was not - but we had learned how to do Radar PFLs (Practice Fored
Landings directed by Radar)
